Best Wedding Venues in Barbados

When you first get engaged, choosing your wedding venue is often one of the first (and one of the most important) decisions you’ll make. I ALWAYS recommend hiring a wedding planner before you make any venue decision, but in case you're curious, I’ve put together a list of some of the best wedding venues in Barbados below. Choosing the wrong venue can be a costly mistake, and even though it can be exciting, it’s not a decision you want to make lightly. As a wedding and event planner in Barbados for over a decade now, I know that things aren’t always as they appear. If you are looking for an experienced Barbados wedding planner, I would love for you to reach out and connect with me here

Okay, now back to the wedding venues!

Halton Great House

I have worked at Halton Great House a few times and honestly, it never disappoints. They have a huge outdoor space which works perfectly for wedding ceremonies and a few gazebos which can house food stations or buffet lines quite nicely. When you rent Halton Great House, they also give you a guest cottage for the bride to get ready in the morning of the wedding. And let you store your wedding decor for up to a week before which makes wedding day setup a little less stressful.

If you are looking for a more “all inclusive” wedding venue, they offer rentals right on property so we don’t have to worry about a third party rental company (but don’t worry too much about that because as your wedding planner, I will always find you the best option). On top of all that, Halton Great House also includes the use of a vintage car rental for some classic wedding photos!

Clifton Hall Great House

The landscaped grounds of Clifton Hall Great House are some of the most beautiful in the region. If you are looking for a fairytale-esque wedding venue (with a 16th century style), the house is over 13,500 square feet in size with indoor event spaces of all sizes. When couples choose to get married in Barbados, often they love to soak up some of the history (and the rum!). In both respects, Clifton Hall Great House is a must-see wedding venue.

St. Nicholas Abbey

St. Nicolas Abbey is a 1650’s plantation house, museum and rum distillery - all in one gorgeous Barbados wedding venue. If you are dreaming of a beautiful tropical gardens venue in Barbados, St. Nicolas Abbey would be an excellent choice as the property is very lush. Because St. Nicolas Abbey is known for their incredible weddings and events, they require that couples work with a wedding planner to handle the logistics if there are over 25 guests in attendance.

Sandals

If you are looking for a luxury resort experience in Barbados, Sandals is an all inclusive chain you may have seen before! Known for their luxury experiences, the wedding packages are surprisingly affordable (if you have guests staying on the property) and there is no limit as to what they will include. At Sandals, you can get married right on the beach or in a ballroom (if you want the reception to go late, the ballroom is a great choice!).

Gun Hill Signal Station (Fusiliers Cafe)

If you are planning a micro wedding, Gun Hill Signal Station is a phenomenal small wedding venue. Located on a hill near the centre of the island, you can enjoy views of both the southeast and southwest corners of the island. For smaller weddings, it’s really special at night when you can see all the lights in the distance. You feel like you’re in a world of your own and it's spectacular.

Codrington College

Codrington college is the home of the theological college for the Anglican church. This is easily one of the best wedding venues in Barbados because it has a gorgeous view of the Atlantic ocean and a beautiful lily pond. It is very serene. Even if you don’t choose Codrington College as your wedding venue, it’s a great place to take your wedding photos!
